A senior executive with a wealth of experience in the financial sector, Erik Brown serves as principal of Aspire Capital Partners. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, this long-only investment fund focuses on publicly traded companies in the life sciences and technology sectors. In addition to his work with Aspire Capital, Erik Brown serves as an advisory board member for both the Michigan State University Foundation and the Michigan State University Financial Markets Institute.
Before the formation of Aspire Capital in 2010, Mr. Brown served seven years as vice president of Fusion Capital Partners, a Chicago-based firm that has completed transactions that involve approximately $500 million in investments. He also served four years as principal of CGI Capital and two years as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch. Erik Brown holds a bachelor of arts in finance from Michigan State University and a master of business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
